REH Cork Club Inc. Craft Market Charter
Purpose The REH Cork Club Craft Market is organised to raise funds for the Good Friday Appeal supporting the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne.
Regulatory Compliance All local, state, and federal regulations must be met, and compliance is the responsibility of each stallholder.
Identification Each stall should be clearly identified, with stallholders encouraged to wear name badges for easy recognition.
Insurance Requirements Stallholders must hold $10 million in Public Liability Insurance. Proof of current insurance must be provided to the Market Coordinator before attendance.
Site Equipment and Cleanliness Stallholders are responsible for all necessary equipment and must leave their site clean and tidy after use.
Food Safety Stallholders cooking or selling food must have a valid Food Registration and Streatrader Statement of Trade from their local council.
Food Labeling All packaged food must be labeled in compliance with the Australian Food Standards Code.
Permanent Site Attendance Permanent stallholders who miss two consecutive markets without notifying the Market Coordinator may lose their site allocation on the third absence.
Respect and Conduct Respect toward fellow stallholders, volunteers, and the public is essential. Any disputes will be handled by the Royal Exchange Hotel Cork Club Inc., whose decision is final.
Vehicle Regulations Vehicles are prohibited on grassed areas. Stallholders are encouraged to park off-site within 30 minutes of the market’s start time (8 am) to allow customer access. All on-site driving should follow one-way traffic regulations.
Alcohol Sales Stallholders selling alcohol must have a current permit or liquor license.
Fire Permits A valid fire lighting permit is required for any open flames on site.
Electrical Safety Power leads and equipment must be tagged and tested by a qualified electrician.
Busking A busking permit is required for any on-site performances.
Marquee and Gazebo Safety Portable structures must be secured with sandbags, water bottles, or suitable weights. Tent pegs are prohibited due to sprinkler and lighting systems. Structures larger than 10m x 10m require council approval.
Registration and Site Fees Stallholders must confirm attendance in advance and notify if unable to attend. Site fees are to be paid in advance.
Charter Enforcement The Craft Market Coordinator has the authority to enforce the charter on market day. Non-compliance may result in removal.
Feedback and Charter Modifications Formal complaints or suggestions for charter changes should be submitted in writing to the REH Cork Club Craft Market Coordinator, PO Box 2001, Traralgon 2001.
